I got one for my girlfriend [:)] (who’s been a life long win32 user) uses it everyday now, primarily to call me via skype. The Huawei 3G modem works perfectly fine with betavine provided (https://forge.betavine.net/frs/?group_id=12) linux drivers. In fact they have a separate build for Dell Mini that even adds a convenient shortcut to the Dell easy panel.

Not very sure whether you can get it in SL though
