Personally I use fedora from a long time and from it, I know that the fedora 9 is a great Distro. most of the problems u said in ur podcast are not present in the full version [I didn't try the sinhala font installing. I selected it during the initial installation]. The problem of the Packagekit is, it process one job after another. Thats y it doesnt show anything when u click. If u wait for a second, it will show. But after the repositories are fully updated, it comes in a flash. And again, according to me, Fedora cannot be compared with Ubuntu or with another. coz I use it as I´m very fond of using the bleeding edge technology. I know some times its buggy. But as u know, we do hav our own likeness. Anyway, I think fedora should gets the credit for introducing newest techno to the community [even its the beta bed for RHEL ]. Even pulseAudio, Xen are invented by Fedoa that now used by ubuntu. So It does hav it´s own prons heavily. Anyway good luck on your podcast.. I´m looking forward to a next episode.
